Built for Gymnasts. Built for Community.

Founded by Megan Jones and Natalie King, Inland Northwest Gymnastics was created to give Spokane-area athletes a supportive place to grow, compete, and belong.

Our Story

Inland Northwest Gymnastics began with a simple goal: create a gymnastics program that puts athletes and coaches first.

Founders Megan Jones and Natalie King saw a need for a different kind of gymnastics organization in the Spokane area—one that focused not only on skill development and competition, but also on access, community, and creating a positive environment for athletes at every level.

The organization was formed as a nonprofit in 2023, and the first practices were held in the shared gymnastics facility at Mead and Mt. Spokane High Schools. At the time, the program served about 40 gymnasts.

In November 2023, Inland Northwest Gymnastics moved into its own facility in Spokane. Recreational classes began in January 2024, opening the program to more children and families, and the Xcel team was added a few months later.

Since then, the gym has continued to grow in both size and programming. What started with a small group of gymnasts has grown to more than 400 athletes participating in recreational, developmental, and competitive programs.

Today, Inland Northwest Gymnastics is the only nonprofit gymnastics program in the Inland Northwest. That structure allows us to stay focused on our mission: supporting athletes as they pursue their goals, making gymnastics accessible to more families, investing in coaches, and building a strong gymnastics community in Spokane.

A lot has changed since those first practices in 2023, but the reason we started has stayed the same.

Who We Are Today

Inland Northwest Gymnastics is a nonprofit gymnastics organization serving athletes throughout the Spokane area. From preschool and recreational classes to high school, adult, Xcel, and Developmental gymnastics, we offer opportunities for athletes at a wide range of ages, experience levels, and goals.

Our programs are built around quality coaching, steady skill development, and a positive gym environment where athletes can challenge themselves and enjoy the sport. Whether a gymnast is trying the sport for the first time, training for competition, or returning as an adult, our goal is to provide a place where they can continue to learn, grow, and be part of a strong gymnastics community.

What Makes Us Different

As a nonprofit gymnastics organization, Inland Northwest Gymnastics is built around people first. Our focus is on creating opportunities for athletes, supporting coaches, and making gymnastics a positive and sustainable part of our community.

We believe athletes develop best when they are challenged, supported, and given room to grow at their own pace. That means focusing on strong coaching, thoughtful progression, and an environment where gymnasts can build skills, confidence, and lasting connections.

Our mission is simple: support athletes as they pursue their dreams, make gymnastics accessible to more families, put gymnasts and coaches first, and build community around athletics.
